Toyota Highlander Service Manual: Yawrate sensor

REPLACEMENT

NOTICE:

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (SEE PAGE 72-1 1 or 72-19 )

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (SEE PAGE 76-21 )

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (SEE PAGE 76-21 )

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (SEE PAGE 76-21 )

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (SEE PAGE 76-21 )

6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH (SEE PAGE 76-21 )

7. REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR PROTECTOR

REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR PROTECTOR


(a) Remove the bolt and the sensor protector.

8. REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR

REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR


(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and the yawrate sensor.

NOTICE: Do not remove the yawrate sensor from the yawrate sensor bracket

9. INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR

 INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR


(a) Install the yawrate sensor with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 14 NVm (143 kgfVcm, 10 ft.Vlbf)

(b) Connect the connector.

10. INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR PROTECTOR

INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR PROTECTOR


(a) Install the sensor protector with the bolt.

Torque: 14 NVm (143 kgfVcm, 10 ft.Vlbf)

11. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH

12. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

14. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (SEE PAGE 72-1 1 or 72-19 )

17. PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (SEE PAGE 05-765 )

18. CHECK IN THE TEST MODE (SEE PAGE 05-765 )
